DUMBARNIE LINKS | CRAIL BALCOMIE | ST ANDREWS DUKES COURSE

54 HOLE MIXED PAIRS BETTERBALL STABLEFORD

Our other mixed pairs events have proved extremely successful, so we were delighted to introduce another version of the competition at the ‘Home of Golf’. In conjunction with our friends at the magnificent Old Course Hotel, we will be staging the Mixed Pairs Cup St Andrews in May.

The event begins with our pairs taking on the magnificent Dumbarnie Links which, despite only opening in 2020, is already proving a big hit with all who visit. Day 2 will be at the beautiful Balcomie Links at Crail, before we then play the final round at the Duke’s course. 2 nights’ accommodation at the Old Course Hotel is also included in the entry package, making this a first class trip in every respect.

Current champions – Bill Pnaiser & Marilyn Conner (Enville)

THE EVENT

TUESDAY 7 MAY
DUMBARNIE LINKS

Round one tees off at Dumbarnie Links – Scotland’s newest links and one that is fast becoming one of the UK’s must plays. With clever undulations, stunning views and holes that make you think, it is a course that has it all. Dumbarnie’s rapid rise was further underlined recently when it was announced that it would host the Women’s Scottish Open.

WEDNESDAY 8 MAY
BALCOMIE LINKS AT CRAIL

Golf has been played over the Balcomie Links at Crail Golfing Society for centuries. The first 9 holes were originally laid out by Old Tom Morris back in 1895 before another 9 were added in 1900. It is now one of Scotland’s most loved golf experiences – with stone walls, humps and hollows, shared greens and bunker faces clad in railway sleepers, it is easy to see why.

THURSDAY 9 MAY
DUKES COURSE, ST ANDREWS

Originally designed by five times Open champion Peter Thompson, and a couple of miles inland from the town of St Andrews, the Dukes opened for play in 1995. The course is known to provide a fair test of golf, with no blind shots, bunkers in exactly the right position to pose golfers a question, very well managed rough and undulating but true greens.
