Our Links Golf Salver events are shorter versions of our 72 hole Links Golf Cups – ideal for those who want to compete at some of the UK’s finest courses but cannot take too much time off work.
As those who have been will know, everything about Archerfield is first class, and our event features both the Dirleton and Fidra Links. Tony Meehan of Formby Golf Club was our 2018 victor with a total of 71 points over the two rounds.
With its sweeping fairways, menacing bunkers and undulating dunes, the magnificent Dirleton Links provides the perfect start for the event. Our competitors will need to be at their best to master the superb greens and post a good score – ensuring that they remain in contention for Round 2 tomorrow.
The Fidra course – a unique mixture of pine forest and fast running links – has played host to a number of important professional events, most recently the Scottish Seniors Open and the Paul Lawrie Matchplay on the European Tour. The Fidra’s greens are relatively large, but feature subtle borrows to test even the best putters.
We have teamed up with some local accommodation providers to offer our Links Golf Salver competitors discounted room rates when staying in the area for the event. To secure these preferential rates, first book your place in the competition and then use the unique booking reference code provided to book directly with your chosen hotel.
