Our inaugural Nations Cup will be staged at Praia D’El Rey Resort, north west of Lisbon, and it will feature three stunning courses on the Portuguese Silver Coast – Praia D’El Rey itself, Royal Obidos and West Cliffs.
Teams of four golfers will play in pairs each day, with their Betterball Stableford scores combining to give a team total.
The idea is to have an event with golfers from different nations coming together to play and socialise at a well-organised, fun tournament. We already have teams from England, Scotland, France, Iceland, Belgium, Sweden, Germany and the Faroe Islands signed up and ready to do battle – will you be joining them to represent your country?
Praia D’El Rey will provide a good test as we get the event underway. The course offers a distinct mix of nines – one with stunning ocean views and an open links feel, and the other winding its way amongst the trees and vegetation on the resort.
Royal Obidos was the final creation of Seve Ballesteros, and what a legacy the great man left. Water is very much in play on a number of holes, and our international competitors will need to play well in their pairs to ensure they post a good score.
The stunning cliff-top links of West Cliffs will provide the perfect setting for the final round of the event. One of the very best courses in Europe, the undulating greens, strategically placed bunkers, and amazing scenery ensure a memorable experience for all golfers.
Entry includes daily golf transfers and four nights self-catering accommodation at the beautiful Praia D’El Rey Resort. Those who are looking for an event more luxurious trip can upgrade to stay in the world-class 5 star Marriott Hotel.
