ITINERARY

SUNDAY 7 JUNE
ARRIVALS DAY

Sunday is the day our competitors check-in to their accommodation at Dundonald. Depending on arrival times, there might be the opportunity for a practice round or a quick session on the range, or it could be straight to the clubhouse bar for our welcome drinks reception in the evening.

MONDAY 8 JUNE
ROUND ONE

Our field is split for the 1st Round, with half taking on Gailes Links and the others tackling Kilmarnock Barassie. The teams of four will divide into two pairs and play in Betterball format, before the two Stableford scores are combined to give the team’s total.

TUESDAY 9 JUNE
ROUND TWO

Gailes Links and Barassie will also host Round 2, with competitors heading to whichever course they didn’t visit the previous day. Teams who got off to a fast start will want to keep the momentum going, but there might be a new strategy for those lower down the leaderboard.

WEDNESDAY 10 JUNE
ROUND THREE

Former Scottish Open venue Dundonald Links will host the full field for our final round, and teams will play in score order with the leaders out last. After the scorecards are signed, we will head back to the clubhouse to congratulate the winners at our closing dinner.

THURSDAY 11 JUNE
DEPARTURES DAY

Unfortunately, Thursday is the day we all travel home – full of memories of what will surely be a fantastic trip. Golfers not quite ready to leave Ayrshire will, of course, have the option to stay on and perhaps play one of the other great courses in the region.

EARLY BIRD ENTRY FEE FROM £765 PER PERSON
Includes four nights B&B at Dundonald, three tournament rounds, invites to our welcome drinks and closing dinner gatherings, and all prizes.

  • As well as prizes for overall scores, there will also be daily prizes.
  • Prizes will be presented following Round 3 at the closing dinner – any prize winners not in attendance must contact the organisers to claim their prize, and will be liable for any costs incurred in sending their prizes to them.
  • The event organisers reserve the right to amend the format of the competition should the number of entrants or weather conditions dictate.
  • All entrants must be amateurs and members of recognised golf clubs, and hold an active or competitive handicap.

  • Maximum Handicap Index is 18.0 for men and 28.0 for ladies – 85% handicap allowance is given.
  • A draw will be done for Rounds 1 and 2, and Round 3 will be played in leaderboard order with the leaders teeing off last.
  • Should any teams wish to withdraw from the event, a full refund (less any charges incurred) will be guaranteed up until 2 months before the start date of the event. Withdrawals after this date will receive a refund of their entry fee if a replacement team can be found.
