72 HOLE PAIRS BETTERBALL STABLEFORD
We are delighted to have been asked to organise the relaunched Legacy Cup, which has been expanded to a 72 hole Betterball competition for both same gender and mixed pairs. Along with the Rosemount course at Blairgowrie and the PGA Centenary course at Gleneagles, our competitors will experience two of Perthshire’s lesser known gems – Auchterarder and Crieff.
The Legacy Cup celebrates the fact that the Ryder Cup, Junior Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup have all been played in Perthshire in recent years, and our golfers will be walking in the footsteps of the world’s best players from both the men’s and women’s game.
The Event
Monday 28th September
AUCHTERARDER
The event begins at Auchterarder, a beautiful parkland layout with stunning scenery and views towards Gleneagles and the Ochil Hills. The course has a nice blend of holes and provides an enjoyable test for golfers of all abilities. It is particularly noted for the quality of it’s par 3s.
TUESDAY 29th September
CRIEFF
We head to Crieff for Round 2 and our competitors will get to enjoy this lovely inland course which is always presented in excellent condition. Set in the countryside on the edge of the town, most of the holes run along the hillside and offer magnificent views and an overall feeling of escape.
WEDNESDAY 30th September
REST DAY
Players will have the option to either take it easy, recharge the batteries, and take in some of the many sights that this region has to offer, or they can choose to play another round at one of the other great Perthshire courses – such as Murrayshall, Pitlochry or one of the fine 9 hole courses.
Thursday 1st October
BLAIRGOWRIE – ROSEMOUNT
Our Round 3 venue is the fantastic Rosemount course at Blairgowrie. Designed by James Braid with influence from Alistair MacKenzie, the renowned architect of Augusta National, this is recognised as one of Scotland’s best inland courses and features regularly in the UK Top 100 lists.

GLENEAGLES – PGA CENTENARY
Created by the legendary Jack Nicklaus and set in glorious rolling countryside, the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles is well known to the golf world. It was, of course, the venue for memorable European victories in the 2014 Ryder Cup and 2019 Solheim Cup, and is a real ‘must play’ for all golfers.
